1. Earn a 3.0 GPA minimum in your A-G College Prep Classes OR a 2.0 GPA minimum with an SAT or ACT score that matches or exceeds the CSU eligibility index (see below).
2. Take the SAT Reasoning or ACT. 3. Graduate from high school. Some CSU campuses have higher standards for particular majors or for students who live outside the local campus area. Because of the number of students who apply, a few campuses have higher standards (supplementary admission criteria) for all applicants. Use the following formula to calculate your CSU eligibility index: 1. For SAT test takers: Multiply their (10-12 UC/CSU GPA) x 800 Then add in their SAT (Math & Verbal) Score Their index is _________________________
2. For ACT test takers: Multiply their (10-12 UC/CSU GPA) x 200 Then add (10 x ACT Comp) Their index is_________________________
A index of 2900 (694 with ACT) will get you into non-impacted Cal States (18 out of the 23 campuses) For impacted Cal States, the Fall 2008 class was admitted at the following eligibility indexes. Note that these often go up every year: San Diego State 3920 Fullerton 3200 Long Beach 3700 Cal Poly Pomona 3800 Cal Poly San Luis Obispo does not admit by eligibility index.
